Inserts the current date in the cell.

Choose Insert - Date.

Choose Insert - Fields - Date.

On the Insert menu of the Insert tab, choose Date.

From toolbars:

From the keyboard:

Ctrl + ; (semicolon)


note

The date inserted is static.
