You can insert the current date as a field that updates each time you open the document, or as a field that does not update.
Choose \<emph\>Insert - Fields - Other\</emph\> and click the \<emph\>Document\</emph\> tab.
Click 'Date' in the \<emph\>Type \</emph\>list and do one of the following:
To insert the date as a field that updates each time you open the document, click 'Date' in the \<emph\>Select \</emph\>list.
To insert the date as a field that does not update, click 'Date (fixed)' in the \<emph\>Select \</emph\>list.
