Inserting Objects From the Gallery
You can insert an object in a document either as a copy or as a link. A copy of an object is independent of the original object. Changes to the original object have no effect on the copy. A link remains dependent on the original object. Changes to the original object are also reflected in the link.
Inserting an object as a copy

Open the Gallery by clicking the Gallery icon on the Standard bar, or by selecting Tools - Gallery.

Select a theme.

Select an object using a single click.

Drag the object into the document, or right-click to open the context menu and select Insert and Copy.
Inserting an object as a link

Open the Gallery by clicking the Gallery icon on the Standard bar, or by choosing Insert - Media - Gallery.

Select a theme.

Select an object by a single click.

Drag the object into the document while pressing the Shift and CommandCtrl keys, or right-click to open the context menu and select Insert and Link.
Inserting an object as a background graphic

Open the Gallery by clicking the Gallery icon on the Standard bar, or by selecting Tools - Gallery.

Select an object by a single click.

Open the context menu and choose Insert - Background - Page or Paragraph.
Inserting an object as a texture (pattern) for another object

Open the Gallery by clicking the Gallery icon on the Standard bar, or by selecting Tools - Gallery.

Select an object by a single click.

Drag the object on to the other object in the document while pressing CommandCtrl.
